One row of the many rows of RV's we were in at the RV rally.
Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. For all our "eastern" friends who have seldom ventured west of the Mississippi, "come on out, there is a great wide open western United States to explore."
The natural entrance to Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. The walkway zig-zags into the entrance and then on down to the Big Room hundreds of feet below.
That is Albuquerque down there as seen from the top the Sandia Mountains.
The cactus were in bloom! What a gorgeous sight! We took lots and lots of pictures but not room here for all of them. There are prickly pear cactus.

Wow, some neat places you've been. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I've seen some cactus in Southern Texas but not flowering like this. Does it seem good to be home for a bit from your travels? It is still chilly here. Usually we have real warm weather by now, but it is still down around 40. They even warned of a frost tonight so told us to cover up our newly planted flowers. Glad I waited, we are getting some annuals tomorrow.
Just adding another comment... I took a look of Jana's blog and all the neat pictures there and made a comment there, hope she remembers us at least through you. What a great time you must have had in Arizona with them. Would love to do that kind of thing sometime with ours. Love the new picture of your house at the top of your blog. Looks cozy. Are you planing flowers yet? Got our in today. Love you guys, Sue and Charlie
